Senior Designer

Context

W12 have been a long term partner with Verizon. In a rapidly changing market Verizon recognized that had to shift their value as a trusted cable provider, towards the pain portal for entertainment in the home. Verizon TV is a premium package, with many powerful features and a vast catlog of content. Within a changing market our vision for the next generation of products was to create a single experience to access all your subscriptions and libraries.

Role

Aligning product owners on a bold, inspiring vision required careful stakeholder management and confident work. Big changes in the brand also required our team to navigate around the business aligning with marketing and tech, and constantly testing and responding to user feedback. I worked as a senior product designer across workstreams, including the next generation of FIOS streaming products, consumer facing mobile apps and back-end curation tools.

Approach

Working in a large team, specific ‘Epics’ were tackled in sprint formats. Purchase flows, season browsers and program info pages were built in REACT and tested with real customers. I presented work to executive and director level clients on a daily basis, responding to feedback and strategising next steps.In my role I have also identified opportunities to push the product or brand further - and have been able to influence key strategic decisions across the product eco-system. Ultimatley using a Design > Test > Build cadance to validate decisions was supercharged by producing high-definition visuals, motion and prototypes to build advocacy and constant momentum with the client team.
